The Houston housing market saw a mixed performance in March 2018 compared to the prior year. Houston March 2018 real estate single family new listings dropped 5.1% compared to March 2017. Active real estate listings on MLS dropped 3.7% with a tightening inventory compared to the prior year. The average list price rose less than 1% for single family homes. New residential listings for the week ending March 25 rose along with pending sales from the prior week. HAR’s full monthly market report for March 2018 will be out next week.
